Summary
Rate of Pay: Salary, Commensurate with experience and qualifications
Shift Schedule: 5X2

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • To develop and implement policies, procedures and systems related to land management required for operations, acquisitions, divestitures, exploration, permitting and reclamation for all KLG interests.
  • Develop, implement and maintain administrative systems for the land management function that maximize efficiency, ensure appropriate external filings and support regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain all property records, contracts, agreements, permits, leases, confidentiality agreements and related documentation.
  • Ensure the company maintains compliance with all property agreement terms.
  • Provide expertise in processes related to land planning, purchasing, permitting, staking claims, research and property acquisitions.
  • Works with stakeholders on land management requirements inclusive of applications, planning, budgeting, tax filings and related financial and contractual requirements.
  • Provide regular reporting on land assets and land management activities
  • Liaison with other interest groups including surface rights holders and First Nation Groups.
  • Maintain database of mining claims, surface rights, royalties and agreements (staked, leased and patented) – Lease control and spreadsheets with information from MLAS
  • Ensure work credits are distributed as necessary to maintain staked claims in good standing
  • Ensure leases are renewed as necessary
  • Maintain overall maps showing location and types of land holdings, royalties agreements
  • Prepare special reports, maps and schedules as needed
  • Ensure timely payment of all regular land payments (ie taxes, advance royalties etc):
  • Watch for royalties which have no invoices sent in advance
  • Co-ordinate preparation and online submission of assessment reports to MNDM, maintain records of bank credits and overall filing system:
  • Ensure eligible receipts for ongoing work programs are filed properly (ie by claim)
  • Other duties as requested from time to time

Qualifications

  • Requires 3+ years in land management, geology or other mining related field
  • Experience in the maintenance of a land management database, GIS skills, assessment report filing and title searches
  • Highly developed communication skills
  • Capacity to utilize various sources of data to support outcomes
  • Well developed Microsoft suite skills
  • Valid driver’s licence
