Summary

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Management of grade control through mapping, sampling, interpretation and ore modelling;
  • Monitoring, controlling and reporting on performance;
  • Data entry of geology information;
  • Creation and updating of short to long term geological models;
  • Interpretation, and assists with planning, of our underground diamond drill ore definition and exploration programs;
  • Geologically interprets assay and diamond drill data using the appropriate resource and reserve method to estimate ore block tonnage and grade;
  • Responsible for geological QA/QC of the geological database;
  • Coordination of Geological activities to achieve department goals;
  • All other duties as may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

  • Registered Professional Geologist of Ontario (P.Geo.).
  • B.Sc. in Geology or tertiary education in geology.
  • Strong academic and applied background in structural geology.
  • 3-5 years plus in gold and underground
  • Exceptional Computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD, Datamine, Fusion, DH Logger)
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Self-starter and ability to work unsupervised although strong team player
  • High safety standards
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor subordinates
