Summary

Duties and Responsibilities of a Production Drill Coordination include:

  • Design, monitor and report on underground operational diamond drilling programs
  • Manage diamond drill contractor to ensure programs are completed as designed and in accordance with the contract.
  • Validate and approve contractor invoices and ensure that charges are allocated to appropriate programs
  • Work closely with the Operations Dept. to monitor development headings to effectively schedule movement of drills between programs as per budget plan
  • Lead collaboration with core logging personnel, production and resources teams to generate drill targets and effectively update geological models.
  • Continuous update of production and resource wireframe models as new information is gathered
  • Ensure QA/QC protocols are followed during the completion of programs and data is properly validated prior to use in model updates
  • Adhere to the Health/Safety and Loss Control Program requirements
  • Aid in completing weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting of operational program results
  • Logging core
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate in an earth sciences program, minimum college diploma from an accredited institution
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in an undergorund mine environment
  • Proficiency with 3D geological software programs (Datamine, DH Logger, Fusion)

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting, up to 20 kg ground to waist height occasionally, carry equipment distances for measuring purposes
  • Occasional push pull
  • Daily standing, walking over uneven ground
  • Environment conditions can be : hot, cold, humid, wet, dusty. Lighting is restricted. May be excessive noise.
