Summary

Duties and Responsibilities include:

  • Conduct field monitoring and sampling programs as required
  • Conduct field analyses of samples using on-site portable meters
  • Assist with wastewater treatment activities
  • Maintaining sample bottle inventory
  • Calibrating, installing and maintaining sampling and monitoring equipment
  • Entering field and laboratory data into environmental database
  • Conduct internal inspections of site facilities and activities
  • Assisting in the preparation and implementation of environmental training exercises
  • Assisting in waste management programs
  • Assist in permit package preparations
  • Assist in preparation of presentations to regulators and stakeholders
  • Assist in data collection for annual reporting
  • Assist in maintaining the site risk register
  • Assist in key document and procedure updates; identify and manage gaps as needed
  • Assist on spill response and reporting as needed
  • Field inquiries from site personnel, and respond with action plan
  • Liaise with regulators as needed
  • Database maintenance and reporting data to statutory bodies.
  • Assist in providing environmental advice/education notifications to site supervisors and managers.
  • Assist with the liaison with the community and key stakeholders
  • Support the team and assist with additional requests as needed
  • Other duties as requested from time to time

Qualifications

  • Education relevant to Environmental preferred (college diploma or university degree)
  • valid Drivers license, G, in good standing
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Suite and data base understanding
  • SAP or similar system experience
  • 3+ years previous mine-site experience
Rate of Pay Salary, Commensurate with experience and qualifications
